Mumfy Bear Brown

mumfy-collage2002 – 2016

Mumfy Bear’s unique coloring, chocolate brown, actually saved his life.  As a kitten, he was scheduled to be put down by Animal Control, but the Officer couldn’t bring himself to do it…he’d never seen a kitty that color.  So, he took him home for the night and turned him over to a no-kill shelter the next day.  We fell in love with this little brown bear and he became one of our family for 14 wonderful years.  He traveled the world with us, living in 6 states and 2 countries.  He entertained us with his personality and was very vocal about what he wanted!  He was a sweet, good boy who enjoyed treats until the very end.  He lived through calcium oxalate stones, the removal of most of his teeth, and hyperthyroidism, only to be taken quickly by cancer.  We are heartbroken by our loss and miss him terribly.  We will never forget our beloved Mumfy Bear.
