Overview of Services

Gift of Goodbye specializes in providing end-of-life care and/or euthanasia in the home of the pet and its owner.  An initial phone consultation is provided free of charge.  Please call (575) 312-0679 for a consultation and information regarding fees for other services.  Services provided by Gift of Goodbye on weekends and overnight are subject to an additional fee.  In addition, a travel fee is applied for services provided outside of Las Cruces, Mesilla Park and Mesilla, New Mexico.  

  In-Home Pet Hospice

  • Initial home visit and medical assessment
  • Individualized treatment plan

Pet hospice is limited to supportive care of chronically or terminally ill pets.  This includes services such as nutritional and fluid support, pain control, assistance with mobility issues, and wound treatment.  Please be aware that Gift of Goodbye does not offer routine veterinary services such as vaccinations, examinations of non-terminal pets, or diagnostic testing such as bloodwork and radiographs.  We also do not perform surgical procedures.  You will be referred to your local veterinary clinic for these services.  

   In-Home Euthanasia and Aftercare Options

  • In-Home Euthanasia
    • Sedation and euthanasia
    • Memorial paw print, if desired
    • Owner privately arranges for the burial or cremation of the pet
  • In-Home Euthanasia and Group Cremation
    • Sedation and euthanasia
    • Memorial paw print, if desired
    • Gift of Goodbye transports the pet’s body from the owner’s home for group cremation; ashes are NOT returned to the owner
  • In-Home Euthanasia and Private Cremation 
    • Sedation and euthanasia
    • Memorial paw print, if desired
    • Gift of Goodbye transports the pet’s body from the owner’s home  for individual cremation; the owner may elect to pick up the remains or, for an additional fee, the remains will be delivered by Gift of Goodbye

Payment is due at time of visit.  Cash, checks and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) are accepted.  If you would like to complete payment and/or fill out client information forms prior to your appointment, please go to Payments and Forms.
